FreeCAD/Croquet is included in the latest Cobalt image. Follow the steps below to download Cobalt and launch FreeCAD/Croquet. Note that Cobalt is the latest Croquet development environment that is constantly being updated thus we have chosen to work with this image.

1. Click here to open the Cobalt downloads page.

2. There will be a list of links displayed. Click and download the current build which is the latest image.

3. After downloading, unzip the file and enter the folder you have just unzipped.

4.

Look for the MS-DOS-Batch File named ‘Croquet’. Double-click it.

5.

A window will open. Left-click on an empty space in the window to bring up a menu and select ‘objects’.

6.

A green window will open. Click on the rectangular box with the word ‘Croquet’ in it.

7.

A list of demo worlds will be shown in the green window. Left click on ‘KayefFreeCAD (Master)’ and drag the whole icon out while holding down the mouse. A blue rectangular box will appear. Release the mouse button once you have placed the world on a clear space. Wait a while and the world will appear.

The above steps are to download and launch FreeCAD/Croquet however, since FreeCAD/Croquet is under constant development, more updates will be released in the form of Monticello packages. Follow the instructions here to update your FreeCAD/Croquet.

    Fong,
Nice set of tutorials. Newbies to Croquet/ Cobalt are definitely going to be benefited.

You have probably missed the Installation steps of OpenAL as mentioned in your email in Croquet-Mailing List at
    http://www.nabble.com/freeCAD-Croquet-release-0.2-td18692536.html

By the way, is OpenGL also need to be installed. I think I have DirectX activated by default.

I noticed the mention of a DOS batch file. Will this run on Mac OSX?

Also, is the work now suspended? Or is it still being worked on?

    Thanks

Hello everyone. I think people want their illusions and writers are mostly illusion. When you read their words, you read a flattened, incomplete version of the writer.
